The respect for and preservation of the environment, with a view to ensuring acceptable living conditions for the next generations, is a design in which Oni Communications is deeply involved. For this reason, it has established the most ambitious objective for itself: being a Zero Carbon company by 2020.

For this purpose, it has created a programme entitled GoforthePlanet, an integrated and transversal project which covers all the company's activities with an impact on the environment, implying the involvement of all employees.

Under this programme, the preparation process has been started aimed at the achievement of the ISO 14001 environmental certification, which will confirm the socially responsible attitude and outlook of Oni Communications.

Oni Communications aims to adopt the best and most appropriate environmental management policies, adjusted to its activity, in all the geographic areas it operates. These practices involve the promotion of the rational use of resources, minimisation of waste and its separation and delivery to the entities licensed for its respective treatment.

An Environmental Management System (EMS) applicable to the activities, products and services provided by Oni Communications, which aims to be in conformity with the requisites stipulated to obtain the ISO 14001 environmental certification.

The EMS acts as an essential management instrument to ensure the conformity of its processes with the environmental legislation and best environmental practices, from an eco-efficiency perspective. It thus reinforces the socially responsible attitude and outlook of Oni Communications by integrating environmental aspects in decision-making, at all levels, in the value chain.
